Paul March 17th 2011 Report this review Rating:10 Got to be the worst shop ever, the staff are clueless, the tanks filthy. Needs to be closed down or someone who knows what they are doing taking over Joe February 2nd 2008 Report this review Rating:1 The guy that used to run this place was really good but he has left apparently and you can tell, the place is going downhill fast. Emperor Tropicals Went in to purchase some plants (was a fairly regular customer) asked sales person for a selection to the value of £20. When I got home I realised he had not given me the correct number of plants, phoned to complain and he said I was lying and told me the plants he said I should have, which came to approx £16. So even in his own defence he admitted to conning me. Went in for refund no apology, will never go back. Fish are over priced, have found another local shop that offers much better customer service at a fair price and they really care about the welfare of their fish. Jane September 27th 2010 Report this review Rating:1 I have shopped here for my tropical fish for many years now and always found the staff to be knowledgable and willing to help and offer advice. True, they don't jump on you when you walk ing the door, but most fish enthusiasts want to look before they decide what they want. I'm not sure what everyone's problem is. Kevin nosworthy March 21st 2010 Report this review Rating:9 Unfortunately it's my local fish shop. Everything the other reviewers say ring true! (with the exception of the one glowing review). steve November 8th 2009 Report this review Rating:1 I am new to fishkeeping and was truly impressed with the help and advise i was given at this shop. The member of staff i spoke to (i think he was called Ashley) gave great advice. The shop seems like it is a real team and they all seem happy to give advice for the well being of the fish. I reccomend this shop and will be back. ellie west May 16th 2007 Report this review Rating:10 This shop is a joke over priced the fat guy is rude. Fish clearly are not looked after. It looks nice & they keep quite a lot of stuff in what is quite a small shop but the staff are bloody ignorant. Asked for a bit of help & i got the most unenthusiastic response you can imagine & not a lot of help. Sorry guys but you have to MAKE SOME EFFORT if you want my money! Steve sedgefield April 10th 2006 Report this review No rating for this comment? Why How the hell does this place win the PFK award every year? FIX? (The shops new name is "Something fishy?" and there certainly is!) The shop is a joke, EVERYTHING is overpriced & the staff & management really couldnt care less wether you spend there or not. Styles Garden Centre i got a sea urchin from stles at the weekend, came home from work the next day of purchase and it had died, we test our tank evey week and found nothing wrong with anything plus all the fish are doing vey well so why did it die i wonder kelly April 30th 2007 Report this review No rating for this comment? Why Yet another change of manager at this place? It looked like a bombsite this weekend, most of the tanks in the fish room were half empty of water and there was dead fish in several tanks. Shame to see the place going through what I hope is just a rough patch ;-( Steve sedgefield. July 7th 2006 Report this review Rating:1 I don't know if this garden centre has new owners but it is looking much better these days, last time I came it looked very tired to say the least. All tanks looked clean and the aquatic staff were very helpful with testing my fish tank water, which was free and advising me on treatments, even though they were very busy. Will definately be back.
