Andy is never too busy to stop and help with advice good or bad on anything dont get me wrong i like to check out as much info as possible from books and the net but you just can't beat advice from someone who does it every day not lost a single marine fish so far. I have always had good advise and have never had any problems with any fish or plants. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. This was until however, I took back a bag of Substrate for a refund. The normal customer service looked a distant memory as the manager and assistant manager looked in disgust when I requested a refund as had purchased one bag too many. They then smirked at me whilst explaining they did not have to issue a refund. It was almost like they enjoyed telling customers to basically sod off, they did offer me a credit note, but by this time I said they could keep the bag as clearly needed it. When I asked to speak to the owner or an email a complaint, the manager said no point, I deal with all the complaints not the owner! The manager in particular looks miserable when ever I have visited. So good luck shopping at Ashford Aquatics, just don't expect a refund if you purchase too much or purchase in error!
