The Fish Bowl I have been using the fishbowl for years and have always found Ian and the staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. My family have purchased three reptiles here,we have owned them for approximately one month and are very satisfied with them. The shop is always busy and my children love to visit. I telephoned today and asked if I would be able to obtain a cash refund if I accidentally purchased an unneccessary accessory. I was informed that I would be offered a cash refund if this was the case. I would confidentally purchase animals and accessories here. As a very experienced Herpetological keeper, I was very pleased with the responsible way the lady handled the sale. She presented a check sheet that asked the customer if they had relevant equipment etc. I found this excellent. I have a higher cert' in Herpetological husbandry, so for me to say good things about pet shops is rare. The review regarding refund I find rather unfare. The offer of a credit note was more than reasonable in my opinion. I wouldnt dream of buying something, deciding it was surplus to requirements and asking for a refund! Not the shop keepers problem Im a afraid. I would recommend Vale Aquatics and Reptiles and should they ever require my help, I would always make myself available. Advised woman that she would be losing a very good customer (we are looking to expand our collection) - still no refund offered. For just £17.99 this shop has lost valuable customers - future customers beware, if you are not 100 per cent certain of your purchase do not buy your goods here. I visited the shop a couple of years ago to see what reptiles they stocked, the condition of the royal python I went to look at was awful, it couldn't even support it's own head and they tried to convince me it was a short term illness, I kept checking back for a few months, the royal was no better, there was no chance of me adding this sick snake to my collection anyway, I was interested in how it was doing. Poor customer service suggests to me that profit comes before customer satisfaction, and I will NOT be dealing with this company again, I would strongly advise against anyone who is easily upset dealing with this oaf. Sean February 22nd 2010 Report this review Rating:1 The staff here cannot do enough here to help you, I have had my tropical tank now about 2years I jumped in the deep end and didn’t know how to look after the fish they give me so much advice, all the fish I have got from there have been great no health issues unlike over the road where I got 2fish from and wiped all my other fish out with white spot. Am just in the process of going the next step up to marine fish and there more than willing to take time out to talk to me and give me advice, Highly recommended by myself, and many friends who go there.
