Howitt's Aquatic Centre I've never had a problem with the quality or variety of fish here, but since Ian passed away it has gone downhill big time. The shop needs some serious refurbishment. There are piles of rubbish lying around the showroom! The equipment stock is poor. Sometimes the staff are friendly, other times they are just rude and ignore customers. It's like they just not making any effort anymore. Last time I went in, the woman was sitting behind the counter (which has a glass display case that was filled with rubbish) doing a crossword. She acted like serving me was a huge inconvenience to her. A few years ago this shop was my only supplier, but now I go elsewhere. Shame as this is a big shop with loads of potential. They don't sell marines so i was not interested anyhow. But the freshwater tanks....well they were disgusting. The owners want a good kick up the bottom for this. You have been warned!
