The plants arrived far too late and almost all dead. Despite what is mentioned on the website, nothing is refunded and no new plants are sent. After several emails, in which Java plants told us that they would refund, nothing is actualy refunded. The last email from Java Plants was one in which they treatened me with legal action if I would mention this on any forum I would recommend finding another supplier. I also got some Java Moss that was half green and half brown. These plants are going nowhere near my aquarium! 3) Dont even bother trying to contact them because they just wont write back. I wont be using this website again and neither should you. Only gets one star as there is no option for no stars! | Waterways-Direct Good selection of Pond & Aquarium equipment, plus other pet items Bought several lots of fish from here. One lot was great but another was dead within 2 hours of being put into the tank (fully cycled/mature tank with no ammonia/nitrite and less then 10ppm nitrate). Unfortunately I was not given a receipt and was told they would not do anything without it. Tjhey where not exactly gentle about catching or bagging the fish which I think lead to them dying (along with the fact that the fish where very, very young). Has put me off what is otherwise a very good store, they have a good selection and reasonably knowledgeable staff (despite one telling me that no fish should ever be kept by itself and that a Pleco would get big but you could always get a bigger tank later). Aquatics Online store with everything for the Aquarium lorrene glendinning? No relation to Rob Glendinning-manager of the pet shop in Cupar Graden Centre across the road from UDA? FWIW all the fish were either sold or passed on to a wholesaler near Edinburgh. My bosses may well have gone bust but cruelty aside there's no way they would kill off tens of thousands of pounds worth of livestock when they could get money for it. When I left for the last time I did a walk round with the handover team and AFAIK there was no livestock on site at all. I have every reason to lie about it and say yes they killed a load of fish as they shut owing me a lot of money but that isn't the case. If myself or any of the ex-staff knew thought were fish left behind we would have called the Police/SSPCA or knocked the door down and got them out of there oursleves. As of today 9th March I am still waiting for a refund! Still waiting for my refund 7 days after telephoning the shop and then confirming so there was no mistake. My money was taken from my account on the 5th JANUARY! The customer service I have received from yourselves has been abysmal. I ordered the items after I was assured by telephone all items were in stock. When I hadn't received delivery 2 weeks later I was told firstly it was the weather, then they were lost and finally they would be resent, at no time was I told that only the lights had been sent. It was only when I finally received the lights and telephoned once again that I was informed the skimmer and charcol couldn't have been sent and you hadn't had stock since before xmas! You chose to take payment on the date the order was placed, most companies don't charge your account until the items are dispatched. I was then told when I telephoned to cancel that these items had come into stock, that day and could be sent out the following morning. I shouldn't have been surprised that these items went ' missing' as well! and although I telephoned several times asking where the items were and was informed you would telephone me once you had spoke to Royal Mail that no telephone calls were received and once again I had to chase for an update. At no time since I placed my order have I received a telephone call or an email updating me of my order. It is now 2 months since you took the money from my account and considering you were so quick to take the money I'm surprised that a refund to Paypal couldn't have been done within 24hrs at the latest, not 7 days and counting. As I'm sure you are aware a refund can be made by Paypal immediately and Paypal email to confirm that my refund has been done. Please refund my money immediately, there is no reason for this delay or the shoddy customer service that you offer. If i was told that at the start i would have ordered them elsewhere. My tank has now got a horrible algae bloom and the best they could do after 8 weeks is to offer me a refund! all i want is 2 cheap tail ends to get my uv steriliser back in action to get my tank cleaned up!
